Communication Consent Overview
Ahmed Jama Professional Corporation communicates with clients and inquiries via phone, email, SMS text message, and secure portal. This policy explains what you consent to when you provide contact information and how to manage your communication preferences.
By providing your phone number or email address, you consent to receive communications related to your inquiry or engagement. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in this policy.
Service Communications
Service communications are required to deliver professional services. These include appointment confirmations and reminders, document requests and delivery, deadline notifications, urgent CRA matter alerts, and billing communications.
You cannot opt out of service communications while an active engagement exists, as they are essential to providing the services you requested.
Optional Marketing Communications
Marketing communications include tax deadline reminders, newsletters, service updates, and promotional offers. These are optional and not required to receive professional services.
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting your service relationship.
Communication Channels
We use the following channels: Phone for consultations, urgent matters, and scheduled calls. Email for document delivery, appointment confirmations, and general correspondence. SMS text for appointment reminders and urgent deadline alerts. Secure portal for confidential document exchange.
Standard message and data rates may apply for SMS communications, as set by your mobile carrier.
How to Withdraw Consent
To withdraw consent for specific channels: SMS, reply STOP to any text message. Email, click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact ahmed@jamacpa.ca. Phone, request removal from our call list by contacting us.
Withdrawing consent for marketing communications does not affect service communications while an active engagement exists. Service communications will cease when the engagement is concluded.
Recommended Form Consent Wording
When collecting contact information through forms, we use the following consent language: Checkbox 1 (required): 'I consent to receive service communications about my inquiry or engagement. Standard message and data rates may apply.' Checkbox 2 (optional): 'I consent to receive marketing communications including tax deadline reminders and newsletters. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.'
Only the required checkbox must be checked to submit a form. The marketing checkbox is optional and does not affect your ability to receive services.
Consent Records
We maintain records of your consent, including when and how consent was given, what channels you consented to, and any withdrawals of consent. These records are retained per our privacy policy.
If you have questions about your consent records, contact us at ahmed@jamacpa.ca or (780) 782-9429.
